U.S. Attorney Moore Capito to address media after sentencing in law firm embezzlement case

United States Attorney Moore Capito is scheduled to speak with the media at the Sidney L. Christie U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building in Huntington following the sentencing of Todd M. Chapman. Chapman, 58, from Huntington, previously pleaded guilty to bank fraud and admitted to embezzling at least $602,000 from a law firm where he worked as office manager. The law firm is now defunct.

The media availability will take place on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., but it depends on the completion of Chapman’s sentencing hearing, which is set for 1:30 p.m.
