Three individuals have been sentenced in federal court for methamphetamine trafficking in North Central West Virginia, according to United States Attorney Matthew L. Harvey.

Jacob Wilson, 29, from Beverly, West Virginia, received a sentence of 72 months in federal prison after being convicted of distributing more than five grams of methamphetamine. Authorities said Wilson was selling the drug from his home.

Lawrence Lower, 36, of Petersburg, West Virginia, was sentenced to 14 months for distributing methamphetamine in Grant County. Michael Wayne Miller, 55, from Wardensville, West Virginia, received an 18-month sentence for selling methamphetamine in Hardy County.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Warner prosecuted the cases on behalf of the government. The investigations were conducted by the Potomac Highlands Drug Task Force and the Mountain Region Drug Task Force. Both task forces are funded through the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) program.

Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the sentencing hearings.
