Aaron Dequawn Hardy, a 30-year-old resident of Pontiac, Michigan, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release for attempting to possess with intent to distribute at least 500 grams of methamphetamine. The sentencing took place in Huntington, West Virginia.
Court records indicate that on February 10, 2023, law enforcement conducted a controlled delivery operation at a Huntington address. Officers had previously intercepted a package containing 2.2 kilograms of methamphetamine and removed the drugs before making the delivery. Hardy was arrested when he arrived at the location to pick up the package.

The sentence was handed down by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers. Assistant United States Attorney Courtney L. Finney prosecuted the case.
