Darrel Keith McHoney, a 55-year-old resident of Fairmont, West Virginia, has been sentenced to 110 months in federal prison. The sentence comes after McHoney was found guilty of selling para-fluorofentanyl in Marion and Harrison Counties.

Court documents reveal that McHoney was involved in the sale of both para-fluorofentanyl and heroin. A search of his residence led investigators to seize over 100 grams of para-fluorofentanyl, along with a loaded firearm magazine and drug paraphernalia. McHoney’s criminal record includes previous charges for attempted robbery and drug trafficking.

Following his prison term, McHoney will be subject to three years of supervised release.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew Cogar on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Greater Harrison Drug Task Force, which is funded by HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas).

Chief U.S. District Judge Thomas S. Kleeh presided over the proceedings.
