Huntington man admits to meth distribution charges

Deangelo Lamont Tell, known as “Lil D,” has pleaded guilty to a federal drug crime in Huntington, West Virginia. The 36-year-old admitted to distributing methamphetamine on multiple occasions.

Court documents reveal that on January 31, 2023, Tell sold approximately 27.34 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant near Marshall Avenue in Huntington. Tell acknowledged arranging and executing the transaction.

Further admissions by Tell include selling about 48.85 grams of methamphetamine on February 3, 2023, and organizing another sale involving approximately 55.75 grams on February 6, 2023. Both transactions were conducted with a confidential informant in Huntington.

Tell’s sentencing is set for October 6, 2025. He faces up to 20 years in prison, at least three years of supervised release, and a potential $1 million fine.

Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston praised the efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office for their work on this case.

The hearing was overseen by United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers, with Assistant United States Attorney Courtney L. Finney prosecuting.
