Edmund Omar Johnson, also known as “Chicago” and “Polo,” has been sentenced to eight years in prison for distributing methamphetamine. The 45-year-old from Chicago, Illinois, will also serve three years of supervised release following his prison term.
The court documents reveal that on June 30, 2024, Johnson sold approximately 865 grams of methamphetamine to a confidential informant at a residence on Fourth Avenue in Huntington. Johnson admitted to arranging the transaction with the informant beforehand.
Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston announced the sentence and praised the investigative efforts of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Cabell County Sheriff’s Office.
United States District Judge Robert C. Chambers handed down the sentence. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Courtney L. Finney and Joseph F. Adams.
