Beckley man sentenced to four months for escape from federal facility

Kishaun Andre Jones, a 25-year-old resident of Beckley, West Virginia, received a sentence of four months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for escaping from a federal reentry facility. The incident occurred when Jones left Dismas Charities Inc., a Bureau of Prisons residential reentry facility in St. Albans, without authorization on August 2, 2024.

Jones had been at Dismas Charities due to his previous conviction for distributing methamphetamine in the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia on February 23, 2023. Law enforcement officials apprehended him in Greenbrier County on January 14, 2025.

Acting United States Attorney Lisa G. Johnston announced the sentencing and praised the efforts of the United States Marshals Service and the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office for their investigative work.

The sentence was imposed by Chief United States District Judge Frank W. Volk, with Assistant United States Attorney D. Keith Randolph prosecuting the case.
