Donald McDuffin Williams, a 50-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, has been sentenced to 104 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. The sentencing took place in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

Court documents and statements revealed that Williams was linked to a fentanyl sale that led to an overdose. A subsequent search of his home uncovered significant amounts of cocaine base, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and cash. The fentanyl was found packaged for distribution. Williams’ criminal record includes offenses such as assault, battery, firearms violations, robbery, theft, and sex trafficking.

Following his prison term, Williams will be subject to three years of supervised release.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Omps-Botteicher on behalf of the government. The investigation was conducted by the Eastern Panhandle Drug Task Force, which is funded by HIDTA.

U.S. District Judge Gina M. Groh presided over the case.
